Fitting the subframe!

Its going ok Lost time on mini cause I went to florida in september! then Xmas came and now im moving!

Ok so I now got a fibre glass front end its coming along really, I got a few more things to do still but I wanted to get front end done before its running,

I didnt wanna finish it and then have to wait weeks while i do front end!

So thanks to tom i got a wicked front end for mini

little update, No work progress really other than i have managed to get a new fuel pump that will be man enough! A jag V12 efi pump (hopefully this will do the job)

I also acquired a spot on piece of stainless steel that will make a nice heat shield for manifold to protect fibre glass front

I have just moved house too!!


Which turns out a pain i the derrier!

Garage is smaller and ive crammed it all in, in boxes! but has give me more incentive to hurry up and finish!!

Hopefully the wife has got a new job too! and this means we wont need her little run around so i wont get grief about having to tax insure and run three cars!!

Will get pics of garage being full when i manage to find camera!!

Good evening all.

Its been a long time.

All sorts of things held me up on my project. It seems not so long ago when you did some work on the mini but then when I logged into the forum it was 2007!

Well I have moved house again! This time no garage. the mini got moved to work. First time its moved since 2007 ish.

I have started to get some work done. The work I need to do is limited as I havent moved all the stuff to work from garage yet. I decided to make an exhaust. having issues with front pipe and selector. Going to copy richards idea and put remote inside cabin, Hopefully this will help

Yeah its in the workshop at vauxhall.

Little pissed off at the minute, As usual nothing is going to plan. The fuel pump I got is no good. Now I gonna have to make a swirl pot for the metro fuel pump.

The wiring is a complete mess. The doors need re-skinning. Outer C.V Joint is shot!

Things are moving along again.

I really want to finsih it before I emigrate to New Zealand. I intend on taking it with me.

If I can't I will store it and then ship it at a later date. Selling is going to be a last resort.

Hey all,

I need the help of fellow 16v mini owners.

I did emigrate and my dad sold the mini for me, I am trying to track down who bought the mini from me. It was sold through eBay and I was looking for a update see how it's doing.

Does anyone know who bought this mini? The guy who bought it lives around weston super mare I believe and had a vvc engine to fit into it.
