Need some expertise. I have only the Swift engine wiring harness on my mini. There are two connectors which I need to Identify:
A round white one with about 10 pins in it and a larger multi pin green one . Am I correct in assuming the white one goes to the swift fuse/relay box and the green one to the instrument panel??

Try the search at http://www.teamswift.net There you'll find what you need.

Thanks for the feedback! I did try over there without success so without fear ( or brains ) I chopped off the round plug and am half way through wiring it up to my new fuse and relay box. Going OK so far

Can you get any pics or give the location on the loom (what are they next to?).

Not finished yet but it looks good so far. I only got the engine harness when I bought my engine so no way to just plug and play! The plug I had is a round white one which I believe went to the Swift relay/fuse box. I got a fuse box from the wreckers ($5) with 8" of wires on it , cut the plug off and extended the seven odd wires to the fuse box and 4 new 30amp relays i bought.
I followed the Swift wiring diagram for the hookups and so far everything is working fine.
If you have to do this make sure you unplug the ECU or a wrong wire will cause an expensive problem.
I'll give you more info next week when I should be done.

Alittle update! Since I couldn't find the noise suppressor I made one from some Radio Shack bits. I plugged the ecu in last night and turned the key. Bingo it works! I have a healthy spark and the fuel pump is running. Tonight I'll get some fuel in it and see if it lights up.

Any chance you can post a pic, and list which wire does what?
Did you touch the green connector at all?
Id like to know cos ill have to do this for my brothers loom.

Sure! I have all the colors written down. I'll try and post them tomorrow

Just sat down with the wiring harness and a multimeter after looking at the wiring diagram and think ive figured it.

W/Bk = Main Relay (B8 on ECU)
Bk/W = Igntion feed to alternator (B in the pic)
W/Bl = 12v feed from main relay (A1, A2, C2, C7)
Bl = Temp switch for rad fan
Bk = Temp switch for rad fan
Br/Y = Igntion power unit (C6)
Pk/W = Fuel Pump relay trigger (B13)
V/Gr = Test switch terminal (A19)

Ive highlighted the wires that go to the plug as labelled above.

Also seen that the constant 12v supply for the ECU is in the green connector,
Its A16 on the ECU (can be seen in the diagram above)
and is the white wire in the green connector (something like the 2nd along on the bottom when looking into the connector),
then its all turn on by (ECU C1) the Bk/Y ignition feed from the Big connector in the middle of the green.

Is this how you have it setup?
I had sparks when trying to connect the ones from the main relay to 12v so it doesnt seem to like that, maybe it had something to do with the multimeter being between the VSS output and the ground, but i cant see a problem with that???? :?

Sorry, I had a meeting to go to last night so didn't get into the garage! It looks like you have it all right. I had the added complication of having to put in a fuse box and new control relays. I will get my info to you tomorrow.

OK I checked and you got them all! Did you figure out why you were having the problem with the ignition relay??

Not sure if it was because i had the multimeter from the output of the VSS (A10) but other than that i cant see what i had wrong :(
