In wich way do you find it trickey?
I have pulled the engine in/out a number of times and
it goes pretty smooth, you have to sort of slide it in under the
frame bar at the gearbox side.
I have no inlet manifold attached though, and it´s lhd.

I have just modified a standard brake cylinder to cabel operation then modified the bracket on the gearbox
I´m using carbs and lhd so can´t really help you out there :?

Hi,
If you are using mk2 gearbox, you can use Swift Gti 1.6 16v AWD slave cylinder.
I have been told it will be easy conversion.
If you are interested, let me know.
I got spare slave cylinder which I can sell due to my project based on mk1.....

my gearbox is not fooling the diagonal x-bar i have maybe 1 cm clearance
maybe you can adjust steering rack position to allow you some more room
to take the engine back a bit, it appears to sit further forward than mine
cam cover i just clipped the middle bolthole bracket on the camcover itself and the metal plate it mounts to this gave me just about 5mm clearance, buljac if you shim the bracket you have to slot the hole in the enginemount to retain original engine position but i doubt that is an issue…
I modified the standard clutch bracket to sit further forward this help the cable to do a nice bend+clear the tower, i will have a pic in my gallery later
today, "test clutched" last night and it seems to work fine with good pedal feel

Hi Darrel.
My picture I hade posted befor, was not guiet right. I have about 10-15mm space betwine the gearbox and the x-bar. In back there are not that big clearece, but this is a tight fit project so I dont think it can be don any easyer.
But stil I find it difficult to insert the engine and gearbox in the fram, due to the gearbox rubber mount bolt stikking a litel bit to fare out. but this is only minor problems, and by twiking it in plase or taking of the the end cover sould do the trick.
The clutch cabel bracket I admit I did not use inaf time to find a good solution, but G13B put me on the right plase here by saying that you can only move the bracket mor in front to get the needed space. BINGO.
Over all I am weary happy with my fram.
