After the alterations carried out over winter, i have still got the problem of vibration (simular to wheel wobble ) which comes into play at 80/85 mph.
This happened prior to new tyres being fitted being balanced and double checked so they can be taken out of the equation.
It looks as though it may be a inner cv jiont which came with the Watson kit .There is no visable dammage so the digging beggins.
Has anyone else had this problem as its a pain in the A~#e ( literally ! )any pointers would be really appreciated.
:(

Andy

See you all at Sandown (ml motorsport stand )

Are all the faces that affect how level the wheel sits clean? i.e. front hub face which the wheel buts up against? and rear hub-drum and drum-wheel?

Are your shafts one piece or are they welded??

The shafts are as supplied with the Watsons kit, Andy who built the car has reckons its the inner or outer cv joint . The inner one being a second hand Honda jobby again as supplied with the kit.We shall see and report back. :(

The only problem I've had with the CV joint was the boot coming undone, OR never being done up, which put lovely mucky grease all over me mini :(

Apart from that I can't help though, not that that is much help...
