hi all, ive got a single point 1400 16v
to go in my mini but was wondering
if there is anyway to convert this
engine to a multi point setup,
if so how would it be done ?
is it simply a case of raiding any k series
with multi point fitted to it and sticking the
injection system/inlet manifold and the ecu on ?

Good question!
I think yes - the old aluminium mpi inlet manifold route is easier and prob cheaper also the mpi fuel pump is different, slightly longer.
What subframe are you using and is it a round or clubman front? If you are fitting it into a round front it might pay to fit the mpi inlet manifold onto the engine whilst building cause it gets mighty close to the box section in the bulkhead. I had to "trim" the manifold and bulkhead to stop buzzing noises!!
