Need to transport my vtec engine, its a complete unit with everything on it, waht you reckon the chances are of it fitting in the back of a focus?

My guess is that the hatch wouldn't be wide enough to fit it in. I think this is one of those pickup truck only jobs!

I'm sure its only are 30 - 40 to anywhere in mainland uk. But compared to the fuss and mess in your car, its got to be worth looking into??

I've helped to lift one into the back of a golf before, we put one half of the 60/40 seat down and then pushed it up a door (an interior door, the ones with cardbord in them :D ), engine and gearbox complete. He came over from Holland to the NE England to collect it and saved a fortune.

For myself, I remove the passenger seat of my crx and put the engine there. strapped down to he bolts for the seat mounts so it doesnt move about.

I ended up hiring a small van to get mine - only cost £30 I think and I felt better collecting it myself ! It was distracting driving though as I kept wanting to look at it !!!! :lol:
