suzuki swift is it a subaru justy?

hi all, i have been looking at the subaru justy and noticed a huge similarity between it and the swift. my major question is if i installed the justy 4 wheel drive system would i be able to install a swift 16v unit on the justy gearbox?? does anyone know if the 4wd justy has ever been put in a mini before, ive seen the gti-r 4wd clubby estate on this forum, but dont have that kind of money!!
any help would be great

Suzuki swift 1,3 4wd is tha same as Subaru justy 1,3 4wd after 1996 of produktion year. Subaru had the licence of the prodution so the swift 4wd was not made after 1996 until now 2006 on the new swift.

The 1.3 16v GTI engin is the same as the 1,3 8v engine exept the head is a TwinCam on the GTI. The engine fits on the gearbox but you need to use the clutch and the flywheel.

Why doesnt the justy-tranny fit before 1996??

... because its a different shape, as its on a 1.2 engine
and i think its only 96 onwards that are rebadged swifts, where as previously they were justys. (could be wrong though).
