My Stripped Out Racer Begins
Back in 2009 i bought my very first mini , I\'ve always wanted one & after seeing her on Ebay i just had to have it .
I never really done much to her apart from my sound system & kept her clean .
It wasn\'t until i went to mini in the park 2009 that i realized how much i wanted to do , so shortly after the 1st lot of mod\'s work began .
The first time around i stripped the engine out with the hopes of putting in a 1380cc but after many months of just sitting in the garden & still unable to find the engine time was seriously starting to run out if i wanted her back on the road for USC 2010 i had to get something sorted fast , So i gave in & bought another 1310cc which may i add gave me a lot of **** on the way to USC but its all fun & games with minis !
Finally August 2010 arrived and the mini had been worked on continuously in a hurry to get her on the road for USC by my self & my uncle to ensure we were ready , We did have her finished but none of us knew the problems just around the corner .
Whilest driving to Santa pod sat in a Que heading in to the junction ( on a hill ) the cluth decided to fail which to my mrs was very amusing as there was now 5 cars pulled over on the exit slip road with a small hold up while everyone tried to pass us .
Got that fixed after about 30-40 minute and we were on away again.
Lucky for us there were no more problems over the weekend & she got us home safely.
I began to think putting the 1310 engine in werent to bad so decided to take her to work with me & \' show her off \' That didn\'t last long , We got 20mins away from home on one of the busiest roads in Coventry at 7.45am just when all the traffic is starting to pick up & what happens BANG she blows !
So once again Mini was off the road & has been since September 2010 which is when i decided to completely restore her .
