Hello to all from Munich Germany,

I think VTEC minis are really the way to go, it just looks so right.
At the risk of giving someone an idea and them beating me to it, has anyone thought of doing the conversion to a VDP 1100/1300?
Or am I perverse?

The thought of all that leather and picknick tables doing 120mph appeals to me in an evil sort of way.
But the car would have to be visualy standard , hubcaps and all, until you lift the bonnet and see the beautiful red valve cover. Drool.
Does anyone know how similar the subframe of the 1100/1300 is to the one on a mini?

The front track is 60mm wider and the rear 100mm, also the bit bigger bodywork all around can only be an advantage to do the conversion.
I hope you approve of my idea and don't ban me from the forum because its not a mini! Think of it as a bigger sister.

Keep up the great work
Nick

I actually think that is a great idea. That would really be a Q car as you could much more easily hide the mods in the larger bodyshell.

Don't want to steal your idea though, so I think I'll start looking for an Allegro estate

We had a Vanderplas (Spelling) at work, we got it for £50 running and with light rust, I commented to the Boss(Big C) that it was possible, So you aint the only perverse person out here
