Hey folks - did they sell the Civic Type R down in Oz? Tryin to figure out a better way to get myself a Type R motor ...well, I mean, if I can pick it up for a reasonable price. Here in the US it'll cost me about $5,000USD to grab the motor / gearbox. I think a B16A1/A2 will run me between 2 and 3 grand... so if the A3 is still super expensive, I might as well just get an A1/A2 and build it up. Would be cool to have a real Type R motor though :)

Whoops - my bad. I had the wrong info swimming around in my head. Looks like the B16A3 / A4 was used on the Del Sol here in the US.

Why waist cash buyin a CTR/ITR unit when with the money you save buyin a normal V Tec, you can upgrade the internals and Valvetrain etc to give better performance than the CTR/ITR units? My B20 will cost(Not Finished yet :( ) the same as an ITR unit in the UK, but will have a 20% increase in torque and 11% increase in power (Figures used from B20 build site) I can also say "Mine's is bigger   " At the end of the day, where the CTR/ITR units elevate over the normal B's is all to do with the valve train and hand finished heads!
