I thought id start a project page for my car. It's an evolution of an on going project, I've been building my car for the past few years.
I started out just wanting to refresh my mini with a respray and some wheels, I got a bit carried away and was building a K1100 turbo a series but due to cost, reliability and what I want to use the car for I've decided to go Honda.
Some of the bits I've gathered along the way for the car include.
MB 7x10" split rims
KAD 6 pot brakes
Rollcenter miglia spec cage
Ally doors
Perspex windows
Curley carbon bonnet, front end, boot, boot floor and evo dash
Carbon weezel bumper, door cards and 3 tunnel diffuser
Emerald ecu
Nos direct port set up
The basic engine spec I've decided on will be.
Allspeed frame
b18c4
ITBs
I hope this sounds good.

Hi Andy, welcome to the 16V forum, I've seen your build on Turbominis, very nice :)
If you're not already aware (IIRC) the B18c4 has a different inlet manifold 'shape' to the B16's and the only place supplying a manifold was Watsons, at least that was the case when my mate B.T.J did his :)
Also the front bar on the allspeed subframe needed a bit of modding to clear the exhaust.

Ah thanks for that richspec I didn't realise about the manifolds.
The inlet will be fine as I'm a cnc machinist so I'm making billet inlet manifold and throttle bodies myself.
Hopefully the subframe does need too much if I build a stainless manifold myself.
I will put some pictures up, and a link when I'm aloud to my turbominis project.
My frame should be arriving next week too so I will take pictures then.

Do you want to make two inlet manifolds? ;)

Er... possibly make that 3 ?? ;)

Well I'm making my manifold to suit my own throttle body fittings but when I come to it I'm sure I can make a few extra flanges.

I am now the pround owned of an allspeed vtec frame!
And have started making my billet throttle bodies.
I will get some pictures when I get a chance as I've been finishing off all the welding on the car over the last week.

I've started.
Allspeed frame has arrived and I've started building it up.
Picking up a b18c4 tommorrow.
Throttle bodies are partway through machining.
New roof skin is partway through going on the shell and I've started to finish all the little bits of tidying up on the shell.

Been a while since I have updated this so I thought I would do one.
Since I last posted the car now has the running gear completely fitted.
I've made my own rear beam from a modified subframe, I've made a miglia style in boot rear anti roll bar. I've fitted protech coilovers all round with custom mounting brackets.
I've freshened the engine with a repaint and while I was there I:
Baffled the sump and fitted a new gasket
Removed the rear breather box and blanked it off ready for my breather system
Fitted tegiwa sump plugs
Fitted a new cam cover gasket
Blanked off the old dizzy hole ready for the separate coil pack
Fitted a ITR flywheel
Fitted a new competion clutch
The engine is now sat in the car but I was having trouble getting it to sit right but after help from others on the forum I found I needed to grind back the steering rack, I had already fitted CSK bolts which I found out helped from looking on here but the page in my allspeed build guide about the grinding was missing.
Im now trying to sort my engine mounts out as I was having trouble getting the engine to sit right.
I'm thinking of going for a combination of energy inserts and tigerseal so I will let you know how it goes.
I will try and get some pictures but I mostly use my phone to come on the forum and I haven't worked out if I can do photos through tapatalk.

Look forward to seeing updates with this!..

Thanks. Yeah I supposed you could say that. I'm a engineer by trade so having access to a machine shop is a big help.

This was a while ago now. The bodies are finished. I'm making manifolds now.
I only get a chance to get on here via my phone so I'm a bit lacking on the updates.

Bit tight for space in the workshop but these are a few shots to show where I'm at.

Woo more photos. I think I must have saved ALL of your build thread photos from TM for inspiration.
Nice work andy, TB's looks lush

Check one of the heater pipes on the back, the one thats 'ribbed' as it sits a bit too close to the frame, its a PITA to get a hose on, you might need to chop it down for clearance....
http://tapatalk.com/mu/52848bcf-8032-72ac.jpg
Tigerseal tigerseal tigerseal, I don't give a rats asss what people think but run a sealant bead around the outer CV boot to make sure it don't go walkies, infact run a bead on all of them! nothing mental like I have done at the moment but just smear it to both boot/pot (old pic)
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f90/kambocars/Rio-tec%20build/gaitorseal.jpg
They have come off on the allspeed CV's before but people are just too lazy to mention it so its upto others to find out the hard way, mine popped off at about 90mph the first time, 127 the second but the final time with some tigerseal they held to 148 and have never came off since
Just a heads up

Yeah sorry the pictures are a bit crap.
I have run a bead of sikaflex round my boots kam. Don't worry I have read all of your post about the boot and tried to get them as good as I can.
Also I don't seem to have the pipe that everyone has trouble with at the back, and I'm not running a heater in the car so no problems there.

Oh and the mb splits come in 7" wide. Good luck getting a set though. My next wheels will be force racing billet ones.

Been working on the car today.
Now have drive shafts on and fitted, hubs all built up and greased the top arms up.
Just waiting on some 1/2" unf rose joints so I can machine up some bump steer correction spacers for the steering arms and I need to torque the hub nuts up so I can fit the callipers then the running gear is done.
This weeks task will be machining my exhaust manifold flange so I can get on with the manifold.

Hi Andy
Do you have some better pictures from your cabine of the gearselector inside the car ?
Is the colector connected to the engine ?

I have move the gear change since the first picture. I now have the standard Honda linkage under the car and then cut a hole further back in the exhaust tunnel so the lever is closer to the seats I have.
I can take some pictures later.

So I'm still working on the car but been busy with other things so progress is slow.

I've currently making the manifold and sorting the gear change. I bought the energy linkage bushes but wasn't happy with the setup so I have borrowed and idea I saw on here and bought a compbrake quicksift housing so I will be using that.
4321
I had problems with my engine steady so after searching for a solution I got stuck so I custom made this..
It's a dc2 ally mount housing with the Honda mount pressed out. I the turned up a off centric bush and in the middle I pressed in a vibra technics bush from a focus rs. Its now perfect.
