Working away at the min back sunday night but yes going to build shell from the ground up. Cost less than £2000 upto now. Complete bulk head was £230 the floor £150 sides £170 each rear panel £230 boot £120 complete inner wings with A panel around £120 each full wind sceen panel £160 =£1420 ish. This wasn't my idear at the start about 2 or 3 years a go when I started to collect these panels. I was just getting the one's I needed to repair the shell i have but when saw the price of the full sides couldn't help ordering them. Got some wheel archs from a show and the roof from ebay second with a full lenght sunroof. Don't know if this is the right way to do it but will soon find out.

as long as the subframes go in straight i don't think it matters if its twisted!! you could always use adjustable everything and adjust any "crabbing" out :D

Had both sub frames on today checked diagonal measurements and had lazer line down the middle. All looks good so will be putting some pics on as soon as I get all the panels welded. Hoping to get the front back and sides tacked together ready for the roof. Once the roof is on I can do a finnal cheak on all the measurements, and then everything can be spot welded fully. I will say it is nice to work with new panels and no rust for once. The panels all fit togethrer like a dream up to now touch wood.

all I've spent on the shell since this is 190 with delivery f the rear shelf and rear bulkhead. I've still got to get front panel and wings then it is done save over 2000 and it as been nice not to have to cut the rust out for once. the down side ies buying a spot welder if it is a down side. Because I know I will using it again. you will need log book if you don't have one. They have mostly been heritage panels just the seat cross member, rear subframe mount panel, rear arches which were harder to fit. If I added my time up so far about 16hr. some of the panel gone up from when I bought them. The complete side panels come with allthe internals on them ie door posts the part where roof liner goes to. The complete innerwings have A panels and everything fits together really well.

If you are talking about F20 & F16 gearboxes the casings are basically the same + F18. The end covers differ - sometimes alloy and sometimes pressed steel. Cogs and diff are obviously different.;)

Well got a few more bit like the MJ timing belt kit. Can't seem to get the right size cora plug the place where I had the engine sorted gave me 35mm. I measured the hole and I get 33 but they said they've never had that size. Tried a 32mm to small can't seem to get a 33mm.
