Have a look around here, http://www.ausmini.com/
There is a dude on here (big cheif iirc) who has fitted a non turbo starlet motor in bascially what is a standard subframe.
I did ask him the difference between the non turbo and turbo motor and his reply was not much apart from the obvious.
I am doing this conversion for a friend at the moment. He is going clubby, I reckon it'd go in a standard round nose if you relocated the turbo (that's with the mini towers).

Not too hard to get that, you can do it with porting the head.
You can always convert it to 1.5 using a Paseo bottom end too.
220bhp is possible on stock internals with a TD04 conversion (available as a kit)
I used to own a Glanza

iv came up agains a few "300hp" glanzas, and none of them were anywhere near 300hp, and certainly wernt fast. shame cause there is a starlet gtt that cuts about that is probably nudging a genuine 300hp and it IS fast, but the owners kinda spoil tehre own rep.

thats my point a genuine 300hp glanza is fast, just every other one with a subaru turbo on an adapter plate and a front mount thinks there a tuning god :p shame cause there very capable cars!

The only thing about the chiefs Starlet engine conversion is that he has used a gearbox from a Nissan Cube because it's smaller than the Starlet 'box - that's how he's managed to fit the whole thing in only-slightly-modified subframe.

This one looks like a 'real' one, although he gets spanked by the MR2 he set 3rd fastest in FWD at TOTB9 @165MPH on the High Speed run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC7sTEgRpoE
