I have just looked in Halfords for the manual for the DOHC engine and amazingly found a UK version. Just thought I would say as it would be better than getting the USDM one. I think it is a new one in there range and covers Civics from 95 - 00.

The Haynes manuals are a waste of time. If you want a decent manual for Honda get a Helms: http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r= They cost a bit more but are far more valuable to use. JS

yes - that maybe but they dont cover the UK cars Do they? The haynes manual at least gives me some info on the wiring of the car as well. Might not go into great detail however - at least the wire colours correspond to my car! :D

You can download the Honda manuals for free, check out this site for a stack load of on-line manuals:

http://icelord.net/honda/

Or Honda themselves:

It would be interesting to know if the LHD vs RHD cars made by Honda have different colour coded harnesses. Other than the harness being basically mirror image and some lengths being different because of this I would hope everything would be the same. Of course there will be variations for SMOG cars I suppose.

That being said, you folks in GB do have some cars that do have a Honda engine but to us in the Colonies wouldn't be called Honda but some other variant and therein is the most likely problem in the harness. Just a guess on my part. JS

Try looking here:

Honda manuals / CRX 1988-1991 / 1991 supplement / engine / other

This gives good info on the B16A engine, as yours is a B16A2 it is from a later model car but the design etc is the same.
