Hi all,
I'm a newbie on this forum.
I'm currently about halfway through a 1976 round nose bare shell restoration.
The engine is out and head removed. I delivered it to SC on Wednesday for the full K1100LT 16V DOHC conversion. Engine should be back mid to late May. It would be sooner but I'm on holiday then.

Here is the Greenie as it was delivered. It was a non running rust bucket

And here someone had filled a hole through the flitch panel to the sill with a huge ball of bath sealer. I reckon they must have used almost a full tube.

Here is what the wiring looked like behind that dash

Some bright spark had filled the sill with bathroom sealant. The lump was as big as my fist, when I finally pulled it out and it bounced when dropped on the floor.

Here's a piccie of the N/S front footwell and flitch panel.

Here's a piccie of the Ramp I made. Gets the mini to the perfect working height.

Then the rear quarter panel had to go as it had corroded through beneath the side window and through the bottom of the rear bin. Made repairing the bottom of the bin dead easy to repair.

I'll postsome more later.

I nearly bought one of those dash boards when Ikea first released them but not very good with flatpack stuff

That's why it went in the bin. Although someone did say they thought it looked cool?

I took the block and gearbox to SC last week. This is what it will look like when it comes back.

you should have sold it to them
The 'K' conversions do look very nice, bit too pricey for me though not enough bang per £££ to justify it!
