Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has ever looked at or built a rear engined mini with a mr2 engine?

just thinking out loud about different possibilities. any advice would be good

In a funny sort of way, it's what i've done.
There's also a GTM out there with a 3SGTE in the back - though it's a wide bodied one.

nice one, how difficult is this to do? can you just mate the mr2 sub frame to the back of the mini or would it have to be a custom made one?

It's taken me 18 months and counting so far. Not easy.

They don't have a subframe as such - you really need to research this sort of thing some more.

Here is one I prepared earlier... taken me 2 years to get this far, but I made a subframe instead of using a Toyota subby.I believe a chap called Welshy is doing one as well but he is using a 3sge.

hi,
I am the one guilty as charged. Look at my build diary called canny on a budget. It is a little out dated and progress has been slow due to work commitments. Feel free to learn from my mistakes. .
