Hi Tony, hope you dont mind me directing this primarily at you (anyone else feel free to chip in tho') as the articles I've read on your car say that you've had both throttle bodies and the standard 1600 honda inlet/plenum.

Its basically about noise, are the TBs much louder than the plenum. I'm sure neither are particularly quiet but I'd be interested to find out if there is a large difference in induction roar !!

TB's are pretty loud, I have only run mine round at low speed on open trumpets and it was loud (but very addictive :D ). To get round this I have designed a plenum box and remote filter to reduce the noise and get a cold air feed from the front of the car. I will make the box out thick fibreglass mounted to an ally base plate. To reduce noise further I will sound deaden the bulkhead and the dash should also help.

the tbs are quite a bit louder the the single plenum. its not to noticeable at low throttle but very loud at full throttle and even better when the Vtec kicks in.

it sounds more like a bike than a car
