hi all im going to fit a x/flow this year in my mini the engine is from a mk1 XR2 with the escort turbo LSD gearbox what do you all think ??

Why a crossflow from a Mk1 XR2? In standard trim it has 84bhp, this is possible from an A series. There are better engine choices available, unless you already have an engine and box. The engine originates from 1959, so it isn't exactly cutting edge. I love my Fords, but for Mini conversions there are better options IMO.

yes it is an engine i no but the spec is good

Id bung a Zetec in M8. Loads more power for a lot less money...

I agree with everyone, If you have to change it do it by a mile, with modern tech. a ford Zetec is much better! Parts and hop up kits are much available!;)

My opinion is there is no point it would be out performed by a stock 2 litre zetec. If your going to all the hassle choose a good base engine like a duratec.

will the escort turbo box fit the duratec engine
