Oh my dear, I had to know it will end this way...
My girlfriend drove to much with my Honda Mini Van and now she´s tired about her 1.3 Mini engine...
Okay okay...
solast week I brought a 114 GTI and started to design a frame (no nose extension!)
Start off was my Mini-transport-guide-vehicle
http://www.custom-minis.de/fotos/mini_gelb/IMG_5908.JPG
with original fix points (including upper suspension arms) and fix points (exchangeable) for engine mounting
http://www.custom-minis.de/fotos/mini_gelb/IMG_5910.JPG
a few hours later...
http://www.custom-minis.de/fotos/mini_gelb/IMG_5924kl.JPG
Compared to the Honda -> Mini aktion the Rover -> Mini aktion is way simpler (in my eyes)...
first of all the colourcodes of the wires ar familliar ;) and all the connectors are well known :D
The LCB is "weldable" and so it is easier to fit everything under a original nose!
I thought the gear change mechanism would make trouble, but it was a little difficult to get the oilfilterhousing problem outsourced...
http://www.custom-minis.de/fotos/mini_gelb/IMG_5926kl.JPG
so i made a Plate with 2 "plugs" so i can fit a oilcooler/thermostat and oilfilterhousing anywhere.
Because the clutchcablemechanism is within the gearbox mounting I combined it into the frame

The alternator would be exchanged with a smaller japanese one...

Does anybody have some informations about gearbox ratios?!
regards olli
