I can't believe you've stolen the exact idea from my head of the mini I want to build next summer. How very dare you :)
I know it's a bit cheeky to ask, but could you give me a ball park figure of how much it's cost to get to that stage? As I'm sure my rough budgeting technique is way off the mark!

p.s. - If you ever feel like you want to sell, there's one very interested party right here ;)

For what you've ended up with 8,500 is a very fair price in my opinion. I can't think of any other car I'd rather own at that money. Especially one that looks as good as this.

p.s. But of course how do you put a price on 10 months hard graft?

I like all of it except the leather dash... I would have gone with a Custom Wood Dash with both upper and lower dash pads covered with your lether.

But other then that, i would swap my car with yours....

lol well each to there own, im happy with the dash and havn't seen another like it, in my opinion there are lots (to many) cars with tthe normal top and bottom dash rails and wooden middle, Plus i enjoyed making it :D

hi there......

your car looks awsome........ well done, you must be well happy 8-)

love your dash/clocks, i think i have something similar, but am nowhere near fitting them & powering them up, so its nice to see yours 'working'.
Im with you on the clubman..... they look different, aggressive etc, mine was same colour as yours with 13" revolutions, but im changing over to 'old english white'.
good luck & enjoy :D

its also the way im going, im opting for the smaller one (C30-84), so can fit/adapt with out a strip/rebuild/steel & forged internals, any way 300 ish ponies should keep me smiling for a while, & if (when lol ) i need more will just have to get the bottle of gas & solenoids out of the shed

TTS use this charger on there kits they have been charging DC2's
, DC5's & K series with it.
the B18c4 block is identicle to the DC2 so should all be ok......... if im wrong or just stupid let me know as i will be splashing out for one of those in the new year:imstupid:....... lol

i know that the jackson charger rotates anticlock wise so will work on the honda engines (all other makers spin there engines clockwise) rotrex do a specific charger for honda motors.

Its not the best vid lol but you can see my car on youtube vvvvvv

oh and the seats are cobras version of the classic recaro shape, i have sat in both and can say the recaros are much better, with a retrim in leather they would be the dogs dangly bits.
Also those clocks are the exact ones i got for my clocks just for the early vti. i lit them up with a 9v smoke alarm battery to see what they look like, but yours will light up the same way.

Seriously nice clubman. I am one of the converted when it comes to the clubman. Not every mini purists favourite, however I have one in my garage & it's staying there!

Hi Miniman.matt,

First off that is a very nice mini - I like the luxury style inside!!!

I have the same savage hazard switch in my mini. I was wondering if you could advise how you connected the hazard switch? (I have installed all my other savage switches without problems; rear heated windscreen, side lights, headlights, fog light, auxiliary fan.)

I found that the bottom two connections on the original hazard switch were independent when off. When the switch is ON the connections join but no voltage go through them?!?! true??!!? I was unable to achieve this with the new switch so I then decided to fit a separate relay; 5 blade double make & break. To power two circuits which are independent when OFF.

http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/relays/images/relay-diag4.gif

I connected the bottom connections to 87 and 87b. I then connected the original 12v+ to terminal 1 on one side of the savage switch. I took a source from the savage switch when pressed, terminal 2, and connected this to 85 on the relay. I then earthed 86 connection. I left terminal 30 free as i didn’t need 12v to 87 and 87b when switched.

The remaining 3 wires at the top of the original hazard were wired through the new savage switch.

Everything works as it should.....apart from when the hazard switch is pressed the delay between flashes is excessive (~+5secs) due to the additional current needed to energise the relay which is obviously on the same circuit as the hazard flasher unit........

hmmmmm...sorry for the long message!! But any advice would be much appreciated. I'm sure there must be a simpler answer!!

Callum
