i know i've messed with mini's enough and should know this, however a mates i think its called a 'jimp' kit car has an a series subby, and i'd like to stick the k series lump in.
what are the issues with putting the k in the a series subby, driveshafts obviously are a concern, but i remember thinking of it a while back and there was loads of other stuff, but i can't remember.
sean.

the biggies are that the gearbox casting fouls the top arm nut (weld top arm pivot bar thingy to the oval plate with the two we bolts on it and then cut off the nut) and The oil filter housign fouls the front tie-bar point(drivers side)

apart from that you wil need to remove teh sides of the frame to alow for the sump and gearbox, and the rear of the frame to clear teh diff housing. but this is all very obvious when you offer the engine up, all in pretty straight forward!

thats with the R65U gearbox btw... lock to lock theres bugger all room between the tyres and engine/box, teh PG1 (1.8k) could present a whole host of new problems.
