is a pain in the arse  but nothing a 36-1 trigger wheel from a sierra couldnt cure. drove it t owork and back today on a basic map, was lovely, though i currently have no fast idle controll. but it stil started and ran. from my experiments al lthe rover senrors (temp throttle etc) are completely megasquirt compatible straight out the box. including the vr sensor, but due to the weird flywheel setup the megasquirt didnt like it. if you have a 36-2 or 60-1 or 36-1 flywheel it should all be compatible . jsut gota tune it now and collect all my info together and get it up here  stil havnt found out the flowrate of the injectors, so guessing for now  if anyone knows please please let me know :)

No. Just wish I could solder well enough to make one.

Then I could make them up for people without the necessary skills, earn a bit of cash and buy an Emerald M3D :P

Oooh didn't realise that soldering was a skill people would pay good money for!! I'm fruity hot with a soldering iron - even with the tiny little SMD components! What's more I enjoy it too - how sad is that!!!

PM me if anyone's interested.

If you can do something well, then the chances are someone that can't do it will pay you to do it for them......like welding, or building a subframe for a 16v mini for example.

Evo. how long would you say it should take someone whos fruity hot with a soldering iron to put together a Megasquirt???

my final year project at college was a batch fire engine control system, also did ignition, the accompanying software being done in visual basic.
thing is though theres a 16v conversion sat in the garage, been there for ages and its still doesn't even look like complete, i'm better at bashing boards than metal.

well it took me 8 hours, and i'v been soldering since i was 12. but a good few hours of that was spent online double checking any components that wernt on the origional list but sposed to be used just incase there was a difference in pinoiut. could prob knock one up in 4-5 hours if you had done a few.

cheers chaps, off to the scrappy in a few mins for an IACV .. datalogging on the way

its very easy to solder wiht good solder (dont buy the maplins shite, cause, its shite) buy good branded solder, flows and sticks much better. also buy a good low power iron (15-25W) with a very fine tip, you wil need this for the transistors on a v3 board. i didn thave one, but luckily i'v got a steady hand

id recomend it to anyone, even if only for the learning experience..
