Hi John

If you do a search on the user names Evolution and pickup, and keyword subframes you will get some very useful information on k series transplants. You will need to alter the subframe to get it to fit. I don't think there is any off the shelf kits that will allow a standard round nose conversion on an K.
hope this helps

few pics in bob's gallery too, believe his is a standard legnth front. :)

if you cant weld though im afraid your guna be a bit stuck, as no off the shelf frames fit under a standard front, though as a few frames on here manage it, rob hall could possibly oblige? tho if you need to keep your standard front (due to the bodylit) you could use his 1.6 vauxhall frame.

apologies i swear my typing has gone downhill since i left uni :(

so far my engines fitting under the standard round nose but thats with a butchered a series frame, shortened exhaust manifold, bulkhed mods and still not figured out how im going to stop the alternator poking out the grill :? and you need modified shafts too which i just got sorted 2 hours ago :D, helps to know a coded welder.
as for the loom i just planked the entire metro loom in, all i need to do is hook it up to the mini lights and wind screen wiper, everything else just plugs in where it should

if you dont mind having extended track etc then use a metro (k series) subframe. you can buy brackets from watsons to bolt the subby to the shock absorber mounting points, they cost £50 exc vat.

the rest needs fabricating, and theres more than you think (well than i thought)

edit: just reread the bit about not extending the wings, ill shut up now
