Do i make my own frame by adapting the mini subframe or keep on waiting for the AMT one. I want it to fit under the stndard round front so unless I get one from the US I belive this to be the only 2 options.
If you have the time/knowledge why not build your own ?

It seems like people have been waiting for AMT for a long time. If you can do this yourself, you may get a drivable car sooner. There is a lot of info out there now, so it is a lot easier thatn it was a few years ago to do one yourself. My 2 cents worth!

i agree with duck. if you have the time and knowledge or a knowledgable friend, build your own. you will have another thing to boast about and to be proud of when you've finished everything ;)

:D I live in Australia, to buy a kit and get it here with our exchange rate is rediculously expensive.
I sold a mint 1970 mini k (with perfect original floor/boot mats) to build a speed machine :!:
:? Our Transport laws seem a lot tougher than yours when it comes to modifications.
I've got an 850 shell (1964) in excellent condition in my shed just waiting for a V-tec mod, I'm not willing to extend my bonnet or to pay a rediculous sum of money for something I could build.
My biggest problem is time (I don't have much spare), and that's why I'm researching it thouroghly bofore I start.
 However pic's I see on the net are pretty poor! and I can't find many that don't have a bonnet extension.
:P I'm looking at other options such as motorbike engines, Toyota VVti engines or Holden (voxhaul) engines.
:( Although I would really like a V-tec as nothing else seems to have the same performance or look as good :!:
 ANY help researching this would be :D GREATLY appreciated :D I can be cantacted on ross_com@hotmail.com 8) 8) 8)

Theres plenty of sites with v-tecs under round noses. sadly they al appear to be left-hand-drive. if you can solve the issue with the rack fouling the diff housing you can pop a v-tec under the round nose.

There is a clubby in Australia that i saw either on here or miniforum that built his own frame. It was a yellow car with a blue frame built off an original subframe
