I've seen it mentioned that the Rover Metro GTI has different bottom ball joints to the normal 100 Metro.

The GTI joints increase the camber and caster.

Has anyone swopped from non-GTI balljoints to GTI balljoints ? was there any noticable improvements ?

I ask as I have a watsons subframe and the second-hand suspension parts supplied with the kit were obviously from a non-GTI Metro, I'm just wondering if it will be worth swopping the ball joints to improve the steering/handling.

Thanks

Might be better to ask this on performancemetro.com. I think ive seen this asked a few times before on thier, general opinion is that it does make a reasonable difference. Just something extra to do once its been lowered, hydragas pumped up etc etc.

Its not gonna do any harm, put it that way

I'd say it has to be worth it, they're not expensive or that difficult to fit. but before you spend any money, check you havent got Gti balljoints already, they have a raised triangular section on top of the part that bolts to the top arm, to make sure you can't fit them on the wrong side, the lesser balljoints don't have this, and can be fitted either side.
