Rogue Mini

Has anyone used a longitudinally placed bike engine in a Mini. Some of the Lotus 7 projects I have been involved with were bike engined with a prop shaft going to the rear dif. It seems that there may be space to set the bike engine right up to the rear dif for a mid engine layout that doesn't require a chain drive.

Front engine rear wheel drive ZX9 bike engine mini in the latest Mini World magazine.
Looks like a very nice conversion, uses a lotus 7 style kit car narrowed rear subframe to accomodate the sierra diff.

Try MK Sports Cars (7 type kit car) for inspiration. They use motorcycle engine / box mated to a modified prop-shaft then to a Mazda MX5 LSD. They also do a nice Trike.
