DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!
DONT MESS ABOUT!!!
No matter what you do it isnt straight forward so why not do it?? I reckon if it was extended at the front the gear box tunnel wouldnt be so crazy or try it in a clubman! The watsons frame/Rover frame would make a good start subframe I reckon?? as the brakes can be uprated to honda stuff or rover stuff!!??
A bit of modding to the rear of the frame? so you can cut into the tunnel to put the box in!!
Some sierra rear arms would go nicely in to rear for the diff!!!
It would even be an idea to start with a space frame sort of like minivic's minaudi!!
Use an escort floor pan and build mini onto that??
But hey just some idea's!!

its a different car i think blackminiman is on about, its light blue and runs nitrous. i remember them saying its hard to get an accurate hp reading coz it spins on the rollers

What Cossie engine are we talking about here? YB? Or one of those bulking V6s? Or an XE? :P Also, I'm assuming you're gonna run it in RWD configuration? If so, then Rob Hall is your man to talk to. His RWD XE beast could easily have a YB Cosworth lump slipped in place as he's using a T5 (I think) Cossie 'box anyways :D Look at his gallery, it'll give you an idea of the amount of work you'll need to do. However, pengy's idea of an Escort floor is also an interesting one. I take it you meant mk1\2 Escort pengy?

The YB cossy also bolts up onto a Mk5 RS2000 grearbox if you wanted a FWD or a rear engined solution.

Afternoon fellow islander
Its a rumour I've heard too, I know of the guy who is suppose to have it, I'd heard its a spaceframe rather than a road car but I dont think its very far progressed.
Be nice to have another hybrid mini over here :D I know of a D16 powered semi-spaceframed hillclimb mini and another saloon with supposedly a V6 vauxhall in the front but never seen that one.
Get going and build this beast, take a look in the Gallery at Rob Halls RWD Vauxhall Rally Mini as if you are going Cossie I think this would be the way to go :D

Quite possible we will be doing a rear drive cos mini as Blossy's layout before the end of the year, so should be interesting !
