ok this project started out as a simple rebuild but now its got out of controll. :shock:
the original idea was a 16se conversion but now the mini is rwd using a
bmw 5 seriese rear subframe and diff from scrapyard.

then for an engine i was going to use a 2l 8v vauxhall engine. but......

at my local breakers when looking for a vauxhall engine i came across a rover 3.5l v8! :twisted:

i will have to post some pictures of the build so far its going to be big! :lol:

You need to get some pictures hosted and linked :D Sounds great! Shouldn't this be in the Rover section though? It is a Rover (okay okay Buick) engine.

ok back to the original idea. im picking up a 2l 8v vauxhall engine on saturday from a sri cavalier 130bhp for £100 cant be bad :D

im must get some pictures up on the board. 8) i couldnt honestly tell you the year of the bmw. all i know it is one seriously strong and heavy diff and subframe. :)

Dimension and suspension wise, how does it offer up to the mini?
