all this talk of different engines to go in mini's what can people find on ebay that is cheap , and different ( not talking big v8's etc ) but somthing that will / might go in a mini engine bay with not of a problem

Ian that is quality conversion. I personally think you should use both engines. The cable gear shift will make life a little easier. It will be good to follow your progress as these engines are being scrapped more and more these days and would make a nice change to the norm. I have a MK1 MR2 and a MK1 Fiesta. I hope to combine the two over the summer.
