View Full Version : Who's car and what rad ??
Just looking at the photos taken at MITP by a mate and spotted something that made me think.
Go to www.miniclubjersey.com, click on "Pictures" and look at picture called "Vtec.MITP 052" on page 3 of the "Mini In The Park 2003" album. (Sorry - not sure how to post the picture directly from that site)
At first I just thought it was another picture of that Blue Type-R Sportpack that has been in the mags (tony someones ??) but then noticed that it seemed to be running a smaller rad. I'm told this was taken on the 16vMiniClub stand.
So, as the title asks, "Who's car and what rad ?"
Has the owner (I'm assuming he/she is among us here) suffered any over heating ??

I am sure I looked at that car at MITP. Think he was the guy who told me to come on here. I think (could be very wrong) that he did have a problem with cooling which is why I have always been worried about it - I think it was this car.

Yup - that be Simons ! He posted on here a couple of times as Vtec I think - he's on http://www.minifinity.com/ more often !

I am on here every day as well, just very quiet that's all.
Its a modified Metro K series rad that came off an aeroplane!!!!! (honest)
Apparently a lot of small planes use this rad as its quite efficient for its size.
It is extremely small and a very neat fit, but after a few hot laps around a circuit the temperature does creep up towards the red a bit. Going to get a slightly taller rad built that will fit in the same place, when i get round to it....

VTEC, Woud that be the Simon as in Hollinshead? If it is then that should be a B18C I forget which model of B18 with an extended front.
