could be something as simple as the dizzy cap and rotor arm or a dogey conection that makes/breaks as teh engine mooves :),
but more likely something else. if it idles fine i guess that rules out the crank sensor, temp sensors(air and coolant) and to an extent the lambda and map. so that leaves you with throttle position, would be my first port of call. after inspectin gthe loom for any obvious signs of damage from teh engien rocking.
the other option ofcource is a duff fuel pump or some other cause of not enough fuel gettin through.
if it pulls hard and then cuts out on WOT, you can safely rule out the TPS and MAP, leaving you with (IMHO) a fuelign or dogey cable issue.

My vote would be something fuel related.

Fuel sounds likely to me.
I had a similar problem with bits in the tank, would block the filter and so at higher revs there was not enough fuel. When the ignition is turned off, so is pump so bits fell away, so worked again, for a bit till the got sucked up again!

wouldnt make the blindest bit of difference, wel, it shouldnt. unless its a wet system(and i hope it is :P) and somehow the fuel takeoff for the nitrous system is to restrictive to let fuel through to the injectors at full-song.
