When using the extended drive shaft and bearing bracket across the back of the engine on the xe how do you fit the engine mount that normally picks up off the same bolt holes? Is it ok to just run 3 engine mounts, 2 on the front and one central on the rear located on the gearbox/diff housing?

Isn't the Cavalier/calibra three mounts as standard? Don't know what the concern is...

Do I take it then that everyone is using just 3 engine mounts? I have made my own space frame but looking at some of the pictures of frames it looked like there was an extra engine mount. Has anyone got any pictures of the drive shaft extension mounted in the car?

Thanks for the picture Matt but I am still a little confused. Does this mean that AMT use 4 engine mounts? Is it possible to get away with 3? I plan on going dry sump and cannot see how I can fit the pumps with 4 mounts. Any further help would be much appreciated.

On my setup I have used the original alternator mountings for the engine mount which leaves the two bolts free for the intermediate shaft bracket.
