Ive now put a Tran X limmy diff in the rwd (aka Blossom ) :) so hopeing to get the power down a bit better, Its ramped but roughly equals a driveshaft busting (Hope not) 90%er :lol:
The standard diff was fine in a straight line but slower tight corners would loose traction on the lite wheel.
Ive had a bit of a play around the estate and it does feel pretty wild :lol: gets the old adrenalin moving..

Rob have you done anyting with tarmac? or is it all loose stuff
i am just weighing up wether or not to put a slipper in mine, although i havent had any problems with either 1.8 or 2.0 8v and traction i was wondering about the up in power with the 16v ??

Cant really comment on the need for a diff with the amt kit when racing, i think Richspec is probably the guy to speak to as he's used the xe in a amt road frame in anger.
From an Allspeed frame perspective if your going to give the racing a go, or your a very enthusiastic road driver, a diff would be a must.
Tarmacs 90% of what i do rather than loose.

If you can afford it, buy it!! Makes a big difference in a FWD car and in a mini with 200+ bhp you need all the help you can get! I have a Quaife ATB in mine and can recommend them for the XE. Cost around the £500-£600 mark but it is worth it.
