I know these questions have been asked time and time again but need a little more info. Will these two engines fit in the watsons 2.0lt frme. Also do you still have to use webbers or can you still use the std injection system like with the 1.6 8v kit. Are these engines good or bad news. Didnt know there was 1.8 eco tech until today. Do they have good bhp and performance. help me please

I think all 1.8/2.0 be it 8 or 16v will fit both allspeed and amt frames bar some individual block difference, but im sure a bit of creative engineering will overcome them.

i have run both the 1.8 8v and the 2.0 l 8v seh in an amt frame on original injection and manifold, the 2.0 drops straight in but the 1.8 has slightly different fixing positions on the back of the block and requite a bit of creative juggiling of washers and brackets to fit, and incidently the 1.8 sits pissed in the frame and will cock up the drive shaft positioning setting the wheels slightly further back in the wheel arch, this shouldnt be a problem indeed i raced like that for a year or so however i did kill one or two outer cv joints. my money would be on the 2.0 8v for cheapness relyability and the fact that if it goes bang ita a £100 for another!!

best of luck
