no power after 5ish K revs

its only just started doing it, in any gear, once the revs hit about 5000rpm or so it starts to cough and splutter like its starving for fuel or somthing.. i put a new filter on when i did my fuel lines about 6 months or so ago, its only done about 300 km's so far...

im thinking of changing the filter to see if that does anything, but i thought id just check here if it sounds a bit fimilar to anyone here??

Hi,

How about adding some injection cleaner?
My mk1 Gti was feeling like that and it going well now.
It's only cost small cash to buy and add whenever you refuel, just add them.

checked fuel pressure today, had around 40 psi at idle and around 25-30 at half revs.. took the fuel filter off and still does it..

i change the plugs last week.. the existing ones were w16exu-11's.. i put w20epu-11's in it.. if that means anything to anyone.. might go back to the original type plugs and see how it goes..

Std spark plug should be BPR6ES made by NGK.
Gap should be 30 thou.
This is from service manual.
