Mines is starting to slip a bit, cant wheelspin in 2nd off the line anymore, it jsut cooks and smells horrid, so prob wont last too much longer.
Best price iv found so for is around £90 ish, we just replaced the clutch on the 106 (same gearbox) and a kit inc bearing was £50
Any suggestions?
Cheapest so far :) and can prob get teh same kit cheaper if i ring around local as most places stock valeo stuff

Hey mate try these people
www.sales.bestofbritishrover.btinternet.co.uk
Click on price list on the left hand side and then either Rover 200 or 400 will do. £55 if my assumptions are correct!

My mate had a black diamond clutch in his 1.8 metro using R65 'box. It could manage second gear burnouts without the slightest hint of clutch smell and never slipped in about 10k miles. Id definitely recommend it as well worth the extra money.

i was thinking of going uprated, as all the 2nd gear launches are whats killed my clutch so quick i think.. That and the fact i drive it like i stole it, everywhere  is it a heavier pedal? does it bite hard?? rough price?
could you ask :D
Cheers. :):)

Thats the way ur supposed to drive a 16v mini  it didnt feel any worse than the standard metro clutch - but then i was used to a mini clutch. I think it was about £150 for the kit from demon tweeks, but it had only just come out when he bought it, 2 years ago now maybe....? IT is a bit pricey compared to a standard clutch kit, but not bad compared to other uprated ones.

Its on there - £130. You might be able to shop around a bit and get it cheaper than that cos ive found demon tweeks are a rip off - nice catalogues tho :D

methinks im just guna get antoher std item.. reason being i have no reason to doubt thats not the engiens origional clutch, and its on 75k miles, if a std item lasts even half that i wil lbe very happy, as its a nice progressive clutch, lots of controll and relatively light pedal. and at £55 a pop wont break the bank
