Mikuni cv 36??

Mikuni cv 36, why do I want to use them on my g13b engine...I have seen engines whit those on, why change the injectionsystem to Mikunis???

Hi Jimbo,

I am doing this kind of mod to my engine.
I will be using Yamaha R1 bike carbs and they are 4x40mm.
Main reason, I'm using this setp up instead of injection is that I like old skool technology.
Also, with injection and ECU, you will need brain to tune unlike mine.
How about fuel pump?
You will need high pressure pump unlike mini ones and Mpi mini fuel pump is not man enough.
I will have more space between bulkhead and the engine.

I think performance will be better too.
Think about it.
Std setup uses single 40mm Throttle body.
With bike carbs, you will have 4 more and it should breath more easily.
I was reading Retro mag and it said that "it is like throttle body without a laptop."

Well, if you want to stick with injection but go with throttle body.
You can have GSXR bike throttle bodies.
It is again 4x40mm and it has injection and all that with TPS.
Keep std injection and use extra one for NOS, perhaps?
If you are interested with GSXR carbs/TB, let me know I got one in my garage.

I´m going to use mikuni 40 flatslides + electromotive xdi on my rig.
I´m also installing af30 halmeter wideband lambda to monitor
fuel/air mixture.

Good to see that you are making progress with your motor miniswift, maybe we can compare jetting and stuff in the near future!
