Hi,
I am sure i've seen this on here before but can't find anything definate on here anywhere! the only thing i need to get my engine running now is a distributor :D . i've heard i need a distributor off a carb car but i have also heard one off of a cavlier sri will work, so i am a bit confused!!! :? can anyone tell me the exact car i should get a distributor off of? will something off a 1.4 or 1.6etc work? i would be extreamly grateful of any help here as i'm stuck!

mine has (half!!) a dizzy but nothing in the way of adjustment. I take it the ecu took care of this originaly? i will need some sort of adjustment as i'm not running an ecu. hope this makes sense  !

If your running the basic carbs/ dissy set up, then I think the dissy you need is off one of the old square shaped cavaliers 1.6 ltr. Not to sure on what age

you need a dizzy from a 1989-1990 1.8 cav, obviously petrol and not injection.

Thanks mate :) , i can't seem to find what i want anywhere i look though! i have a dissy from an 1800 cav but (as i said in previous post) cannot find the wire/plug for the dissy end??? Would a dissy from a 1400 corsa do the job? it looks like it'll fit and it's adjustable but does anyone know weather it'll be up for the job?
Thanks
Matt
ask on MiGweb.co.uk or even novaload.net
on the dizzys off the other vaux engines the wires seem to just come out from inside the casing also there are voltage differences in the systems. for instance you cant mix and matchs a 1.3 vaux with a 1.4 vaux the coils and dizzys are totally different
