Wondering if anyone can help, I've got my B16a engine now and am going to be sending it all to Watsons very soon for the conversion.

Unfortunately due to mess ups from s0d's law, I still haven't got up there and it's looking like the easiest way to get the engine up there is to courier it, but they need to know the weight, and I left my engine weighing diode at home (!) can anyone give me an accurate guess so I know how much TNT will charge me for the privelige of shattering a delivery driver's spine.

Thanks

Joe

I have weighed the B16A engine using a very accurate digital crane scale. I included the tranny, starter, alternator, manifolds...just as you would install one. Weight was 401 pounds. Also weighed an A-series 1275 from an Austin America with the same assessories and the weight was exactly 350 pounds. So, the VTEC is 51 pounds more. You can reduce that by replacing the stock castiron exhaust manifold with a steel tubing header.

Bloody hell that is light when compaired to the A-series!
