1.3 Vauxhall in Mini

I am looking at buying a mini which already has a 1.3 vauxhall engine conversion. Does this mean that a 2lt red top will go straight in or does the subframe have to be altered, and gearbox changed?? :roll:

Who's subframe is it ?
is it a round nose ?

but i would put my money on NO , it wont fit a 2lt

Its a clubby front, owner says he does not know who did the conversion maybe a diy?? but not sure. Would there be more chance of trying to get a 1.4 (twin cam??) 16v instead.

if its a clubman you have allot more change of easily fitting a 2l in.

have you seen the car yet ? take a look at the subframe .. see if its made from a cut up mini subframe , or its all made of box section .. if its box section it my well be a AMT subframe .. which you can fit a 2l in.
