This is very useful stuff to know for anyone who wants to reliably tune the K series...may upset a few VTEC owners though...(sorry) as this engineer thinks the K is vastly superior...

Well remove the witchcraft that is known as VTEC from a Honda engine and you've got something that's a lot less special... D series Honda engine :D Hehe

this articel was printed in racecar engineering too..
theres also a thread by "kingK" on the exige owners club forum. One of the posters owns an engine built by the author. to sum it up, the k-series needs to be balanced VERY well, to keep reliability. :) the VHPD was well outwith factory tolerance, for example.

i saw this guys posts on the elise forum but never bothered to read it properly. Now it seemed more interesting than revision so read the whole lot twice - very interesting. I now have a nice shopping list :D
