I would like to use the original mini speedo, anyone else using it, or have you all used the suzuki one?

and what will I have to modify to make it work (correctly)

Hi,

I will be using a speedo from Smith CSi range one.
This can change ratio to what ever tyre size you have.
You will need infra-red speedo pick somewhere.

If you are to use original mini ones, you will need to find the speedo cable which will fit both Suzuki gearbox as well as mini speedo.
Then you need to change speedo internal gear ratio to suite.
In order to do this, you will need to put it in say 4th gear then rotate wheel.
You rotate wheel and see how many times actual speedo cable rotate.
With this info, you send speedo to the specialist to calibrate it.

You will find these specialist have been mentioned in Minimag or Miniworld, before.
