Its only a 1.3 , but has the look....
I cant think about Vtecs etc cause im only 19 so insurance would be mega high!.
I may consider a Metro GTI engine when im a little older, Are this harder to fit than Vtecs and Vauxhall Lumps?
Cheers all

And what "look" is that?
Sweet looking mini.
It may be worth thinking about getting an older mini and converting that, you could then get classic insurance which may help you get it cheaper.

You'll be hard pushed getting classic insurance before 21, I used to have a 1.3 MK1 Escort and couldnt get classic insurance :( So I went for a real car again
As for insurance, join a registered club, or a friendly MOT man who will validate it is a 1.3
By the time a suitable car was tracked down and the conversion completed he may well have reached 21, it could be a nice 21st birthday present for himself

What happens when you have a smash, injured someones kid and the assessor comes out  Well, It's an option, all be it a silly one, but hey, a lot of folks do it!!!!! and smashing the car is not an option, nor is driving on her majisties highway's to the extent whereby you are able to injur a kid. Also, if another vehicle was to be bought and built, you could insure it as a show car, Like Mine, with limited milage policy etc :D

If you're down there then London and Surrey club must surely get a discount with an insurers being one of the largest club in the south ? Think their site is www.lsmoc.co.uk
