1.3L toyota turbo conversion

Hi guys, names brad, have a 100% street legal mini with a 4efte conversion from the japanese starlet gt... Has run 13 second 1/4 mile at over 106mph. Standard engine and gearbox.

last time it was on the chassis dyno it put out 176hp@wheels on standard import engine apart from a t25 turbo on it. That was on 12psi boost.

It now has a couple of other bolt on mods (engine still untouched) and think i will be close to 190hp@wheels soon.

There are plenty of these motors here in australia are putting out in excess of 200hp@wheels on standard motor/ecu/box just adding bigger turbo and more fueling....

Biggest power seen so far out of a 4efte motor in australia is 348hp@wheels and still 1300cc.

I have done 12 000kms in it now and not touched the car at all, very happy with the performance and reliability.

Hey man thats a mint looking mini you got there, i was just hoping to ask you a few questions about ur toyota conversion. did you run into any problems trying to do this conversion? how much money did this roughly cost you? did you buy just the engine of a starlet or the whole car?

i have an old mini world with a feature on this car.

he bought a 1/2 car. basically everything forward of the gear stick. dont think you could get one in the uk though.

its also the jap spec model so you'd have to get an import or use the uk spec one, im not too sure on the differences though.
