I contacted Compermotive and Geoff and Minilite and Geoff has been having some made up by compermotive and been waiting ages to try em. I pushed it along a bit and Geoff managed to get a look at them today - they are 13x6 wheels that fit inside the Sportspack arch and look like mini wheels. The only thing Compermotive forgot to do was machine a bit of the inside so the calipers would fit so I will do this but least they are gonna fit! Geoff said I should recive them tomors (xmas eve) just got to get the tyres.

What are the best size of tyres to use? Yoko's A539's, or Dunlop sp 3000's? What size? and where is best to get em from?

as far as tyre choice goes then it all depends what you want to use the car for .the dunlops have a harder compound so they wont wear as much as the yokos ,but if its going to be used in anger and track days then id use the yokos as they grip like shit to a blanket

What a question!! Who knows what problems I will face!!! Everything seems so tight in there!! I just know when it starts there will be a milion and one rattles!

But I hope to have it on the road by the latest of the end of Feb, but who knows!!

Pretty good going - only a few months ago we were both at the dismantling stage - I'm still not much past it and you're sorting out your wheels !!!!
Bugger - I'm far too slow and lazy !!!

January should be a productive month - the misses and some mates have decided we should all give up the beer for a month so I'll need something to keep myself busy !!! Not sure I can cope with a month without beer though - don't think I've gone more than a day in the last 15 years !!!!
Hopefully the front end should be hacked off by the end of the weekend, then I can start modifying the P&L frame to fit !!

Hi darren,

I havent actually recived my wheels as yet. Geoff sent them NEXT DAY on the 23rd of december but I still havent recived them. To be honest I only know that it was a 6x13 wheel but I dont know the offset althought geoff has tried them under the sportspack and they fit. They were from Compermotive and they made two sets. So there is another set floating about somewhere - either at compermotive or Geoffs. I cant remember the total price now but I think I got them fro about 200-250 pounds. I have got to machine a little off the inside yet as compermotive forgot to do this!!!

Give geoff a ring is my advise.

Hopefully the wheels should come this week (tires should come 2) then I will be able to tell you more.

This is the first look at my new wheels - I can see where I need to take a bit off them to miss the calipers - I have tried to take a photo - its only a few mm.
