Thought it might be interesting to see which frames are being used......I think it's obvious which is the most used but will be good to see if any of the others have been utilised.

Darren,

Interesting :? If it is who I think, they owe me nearly £ 100 from my driveshaft problems.

Not recomended

I've 'got' a P&L frame - still haven't decided if I'm using it - I either buy a Watsons one and sell the P&L one, or modify the P&L one so it actually takes a vtec engine...

I also had a look at the said company in brum, but wasn't tto convinced with them, as the red demonstrator (if you can call it that) they use for some form of racing was literally falling apart at the seems, there was daylight between the spot welds  and it filled the garage up with nasty fumes.

Sounds like the one, i had to lengthen the driveshafts that i bought from there as it kept on popping out of the pot joint....

I see one person has used the SAE frame, it would be interesting to hear how they have got on with it.

BassAddict....bit ofa bummer having to sell a frame and get another one, is the P&L one that bad ?

That sounds a bit dodgy  . The engine work they did on my mg mini was fine as was the engine build on my mates car. Didn't feel confident about their kit tho. Thats why I have decided to go to watsons, best feed back, he knows what he's talking about and the fact that he's sold almost 80 subframes tells you something.

I'm the one(and only one?!!) who has bought the SAE subframe. Hopefully going to attempt to fit the subframe over the next week time permitting. I'll let everyone know how it goes. I have got some pics to upload but still having problems( Even though matt has given me step by step instructions!!) trying to get them on the site!!

Don't worry Paul, I am using the SAE frame as well. So far I have not tried to install it but soon. I will let you know if I run into trouble. (suffolk)

It will be very interesting to hear how the SAE frame works out, keep us posted.

I have been waiting for the AMT frame, if it does not get sorted soon I will be looking at Watsons or SAE so hearing how you get on will be good info.

its nice to hear that i'm not the only person to buy from SAE!! What made you choose SAE over the more popular Watsons kit?

I'll try and take some decent pics of the P&L setup soon - need to clear some space in the garage so it#s a nice clear pic - maybe put the engine in it too so I can see (and all of you of course!!) exactly where its wrong and what I need to do to get it right !!!

photos would be handy, Ive just taken the K series from the frame (i could lift it by myself, couldnt do that with an A series!), need to see where your tower mounts are located. Then again I could just bring my tape measure round.
