under the plastic slim cover type thing, there are just 4 big holes, and then 4 metal brackets, one at each side of each big hole, whats supposed to be here? Just want to find out really so when i ring the scrappers tomrowo i can tell him exactly what's missing. Any help really appreciated! Thanks!

the big hole thing ,there should be sparkplugs down there .the other bit is the distributer which you wont need anyway if yyou use a dta engine management ,they use ford parts to overcome this in the watsons kit ,there is also a plate which covers the holes up in the camcover this is not that important

Sorted, called the scrappers, can pick up the distributer and plug leads free anytime

Now that you have that sorted I would like to know what the steel(stainless) piping is for in the picture? Is someone using hard lines for the coolant rather than rubber hose?

Be careful when you pick up the distributor and make sure the bearings are OK. The Honda distributors have two bearings, and the outer bearing supporting the shaft tends to go bad. Depending on the model of engine it may not be replacable, which means the only way to fix it is to replace the distributor. Does this sound like I am speaking from experience...yes I am and $300 later I had a new distributor. So when you pick up your used distributo, mnake sure the shaft spins Ok without any noise and feels smooth. If there is any excess play in the shaft or it's not smooth, you may have a bearing that it bad.

Its my car in the pick and yes I was thinking of using hard stainless coolant lines - just to make it look a bit more sparkly but I havent got the right diameter pipe and it is slightly too large. Might stick with the standard ones - plus the solid ones might have a tendancy to vibrate off!

Paul, If you want to use hard lines here are some links:

If you want a 5 page article on stainless steel hard lines from a US hot rod mag let me know and I will scan them and e-mail to you. JS

Paul and Darren. I think I finally got the files sent properly. Let me know if they don't turn out. Paul, I made them smaller so that Hotmail would accept them. Darren, 3 out of the 5 pages may have been too large of a file format. If you want them sent again in the smaller format let me know!
