New member. Not 'what's an engine' question!

Hi all,
Great forum. Been reading for ages. I'm a vtec dreamer till after my wedding - then the dream becomes a reality! At the mo I have a 1380, med head etc. in a Zeemax jobbie. I live in Ireland at the mo but the car is based in Cheshire. Without going in to too much detail, i've had numerous people do serious work on my car over the last three years and I've been shafted in every way possible. from engine builders to so called mini specialists - they've all had a wedge of my bank balance with little or no return. The result is I'm as paranoid as a hardcore E-head :shock: about letting anyone go near my car. Can anyone help me out with a mini specialist in cheshire who can do a few jobs on my engine without saying, "1380!? What d'ya want one of them for? You wanna get ya self a 1.1 fiesta mate."

if the 1380 still isn't enough for you, then you can allways fit a 16v of some sort, most of us guys know the ins and outs of how to do it and where to go, i used to mess a bit with the a series, but now i've got myself into more modern engines, theres nothing wrong with the old a though.
